As a Cornwall native and a dog lover, I know how important it is to find dog-friendly restaurants when you’re out and about with your furry friend. Luckily, there are plenty of great options in the county that will welcome both you and your pup with open arms.
One of my personal favourite spots is The Watering Hole, located right on the beach in Perranporth. It’s the perfect place to stop for a bite to eat after a long walk on the sand with your dog. They offer a variety of food options, including vegetarian and gluten-free, and have a great selection of drinks too. And, of course, they’re happy to accommodate dogs in their outdoor seating area. It’s the perfect spot to take a break from exploring the rugged coastline and indulge in some hearty Cornish cuisine.
Another option for a dog-friendly meal with a view is The Beach Hut in Watergate Bay. This casual restaurant offers stunning ocean views and a relaxed atmosphere, making it a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. They serve up a range of dishes, from burgers to seafood, and even have a dog menu with treats and meals specifically designed for our furry friends. And, with a large outdoor seating area, you can enjoy your meal with your dog by your side.
If you’re in the mood for something a bit more upscale, The Cove at Maenporth is a great choice. This fine dining restaurant has a Michelin Bib Gourmand award and offers stunning views of the sea. They have a variety of dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, including fresh seafood and seasonal vegetables. And, if you let them know ahead of time, they can even prepare a special meal for your dog! While they do have an indoor seating area, dogs are only allowed in the outdoor terrace area, so keep that in mind when planning your visit.
For a more laid-back vibe, The Waymarker in Constantine is a great option. This family-run restaurant has a cosy, welcoming atmosphere and serves up delicious food made with locally sourced ingredients. They’re happy to welcome dogs in their outdoor seating area, and even have a jar of dog treats on the bar for four-legged visitors. Plus, they have a lovely garden area that’s perfect for a post-meal stroll with your pup.

No matter where you go, just make sure to call ahead to confirm that dogs are allowed and to reserve a table if necessary.
